Citations are mentions of your business name, address, and phone number (NAP) on other websites. The more consistent citations you have, the more Google trusts your business information.
Key citation sources:
- Yelp, BBB, Angi, HomeAdvisor
- Industry-specific directories
- Local chamber of commerce
- Social media profiles
Critical rule: Your NAP must be identical everywhere. "123 Main St" and "123 Main Street" are different to Google.
Step 4: Create Location-Specific Content
If you serve multiple cities, create dedicated pages for each one. A page titled "Concrete Contractor in Frisco, TX" that talks about your work in Frisco will rank much better than a generic services page.
Each city page should include:
- City-specific headline and content
